Being situated in this tradition, Leeds Trinity is an inclusive institution. It seeks to help all who live and work here to flourish. It
promotes dialogue and upholds academic freedom as a prerequisite of authentic learning. As a participant in dialogue, Leeds
Trinity always adheres to the teaching of the Catholic Church. Leeds Trinity considers the presence of members of staff and
students who belong to other Christian denominations or religious traditions or who do not profess a faith to be a source of enrichment.
The Catholic identity of Leeds Trinity is articulated in a number of other ways: namely, the maintenance of a full and varied
worship programme in the chapel; an institutional commitment to fostering the common good of society; the importance which is
attributed to the pastoral care of staff and students; the work of the Chaplaincy to build community and catechise; the fostering
of a Christian ethos which will help those who work here to feel properly valued; the many initiatives which connect Leeds
Trinity with the Catholic Church both nationally and internationally; and the sponsoring of regular ecumenical and interfaith events.
